HTML & CSS

What is HTML?

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language

It is a language used to create web page layouts. It uses "HTML tags" to tell web browsers how text, images, and other kinds of content should be arranged on the page.

It's been a year since I learned and practiced using these programs. I took a Computer Science Class and a Multimedia and Webpage Design Class in my high school. I learned a lot of cool things in both classes and went on to attend the Microsft Digi Girls Camp that following summer.

SAY SOMETHING

I want food! I want some pepperoni pizza. This past weekend I went to a Knights game and I'm pretty sure that they lost, but I did get some pepperoni pizza from Domino's and it was delicious. I wish I still had it.

I can't wait for the weekend. Was that good?

That was great!

What is CSS?

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets

It allows us to change the formatting and style of a web page. It controls things like colors and fonts.

Why are HTML & CSS so important?

  1. Every single website uses them!
  2. Web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer read HTML and CSS so that they know how to show the web page.
